About the role
At EquipmentShare, we’re hiring a Service Manager at our rental facility in Kalispell, MT. This position will lead a team of Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technicians (Mechanics) and is responsible for creating, assigning, and monitoring work orders, tracking machine service intervals, ordering parts, and diagnosing issues.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create, assign, and monitor work orders
- Track machine service intervals
- Order parts
- Diagnose issues using real-time data from hundreds of makes and models
- Coordinate and supervise quality performance of mechanics and service personnel
- Schedule repairs for customer and company-owned rental equipment
- Maintain and nurture existing customer relationships
- Promptly respond to and resolve customer inquiries, requests, complaints, or other communications
- Train and develop employees
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications
- Industry knowledge (rental industry or construction field)
- Innovative and dependable
- Three years of maintenance and service experience
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable to a fast-paced growing company
- Experience leading maintenance teams
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
Physical Requirements
- Able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
