Service Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Work with meat cutting/packaging machines and other equipment to process meat products for consumers.
• Perform essential production tasks and support coworkers.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and teamwork standards.
• Contribute to a positive work environment and maintain a safe, efficient production line.
• Ensure products reach families across America.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Willingness and ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms.
• Standing on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift.
• Working around animal blood and/or carcass parts.
• Using a knife (if trained).
• Working in cold and/or warm areas, and in a noisy environment.
• Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes.
• Repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs, single lifting of heavy objects weighing up to 60 lbs, or lifting using mechanical assistance.

• Technical knowledge of computerized equipment.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Reliability and willingness to learn.

Skills

• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Physical stamina and endurance.
• Ability to work in various environments, including cold and warm conditions, and around strong smells/odors.
• Knowledge of sanitation/cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to climb, move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms.
• Bending, stooping, and twisting repetitively over the course of an entire shift.
• Walking long distances.
