Service & Lube Technician (Phoenix, AZ) - Austin Equipment Yard

Our Austin Equipment Yard has an outstanding opportunity for a Service & Lube Technician for a large commercial project in Phoenix, Arizona. They are responsible for fueling, lubricating, and performing light equipment repair on all types of construction equipment. Responsibilities Perform fueling, lubrication, and preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment, trucks, and support vehicles at jobsites and yardsSafely operate fuel and lube service trucks in compliance with DOT regulations and company driving policiesConduct daily inspections of fuel/lube equipment, hoses, pumps, and tanks to ensure safe operationMonitor fluid levels (fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, etc.) and identify potential maintenance or mechanical concerns for follow‑upAccurately document fueling activity, services performed, equipment hours, and maintenance needsMaintain clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicles, including fuel, oils, and related suppliesCoordinate with equipment, shop, and field personnel to prioritize servicing needs and minimize equipment downtimeFollow all jobsite safety protocols, environmental regulations, and hazardous materials handling requirementsDemonstrate diligence in spill prevention, containment, and proper cleanup procedures when necessaryCommunicate effectively with supervisors and operators regarding equipment condition, service needs, and schedulingSupport field operations by responding promptly and professionally to fueling and lubrication requestsAdhere to company policies, DOT requirements, and Hazmat handling standards at all timesRepresent the company in a professional and safety‑focused manner on jobsites and while traveling between locationsPerform other duties as assigned in support of equipment and field operations Qualifications Previous experience fueling and servicing heavy construction equipment, trucks, or off‑road equipment preferredKnowledge of fuels, lubricants, oils, and fluids used in construction and heavy equipment operationsFamiliarity with safe handling, transport, and dispensing of fuel and hazardous materialsAbility to perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections in accordance with DOT and company requirementsComfortable operating fuel and lube service trucks in active jobsites and yard environmentsStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operators, supervisors, and dispatchAbility to adapt to changing jobsite conditions, schedules, and project requirementsAttention to detail and awareness of surroundings to support a safe work environment Requirements High school diploma, GED, or vocational training/certificationAbility to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditionsAbility to climb on and around equipment, handle hoses, and perform physically demanding tasksAbility to work early mornings, extended hours, or weekends as jobsite needs requireMust possess a valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker certificationsApplicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
