About the role
This position will be responsible for working Savannah Service Center and Backshop Liaison engineering requests and providing direct shop floor assistance. Successful candidate will be responsible for RMC tasks and maintaining deliverable dates and schedules, communication of these tasks and schedules and coordination with other teams required to support customer aircraft needs. Responsibility will also include working closely with Liaison Site support teams to best apply resources in a highly tactical manner to address customer break/fix issues and minimize overhead costs.

- Works with Savannah Service Center and Backshop Liaison engineering requests
- Provides direct shop floor assistance
- Maintains deliverable dates and schedules
- Communicates tasks and schedules to other teams
- Collaborates with Liaison Site support teams to apply resources
- Addresses customer break/fix issues
- Minimizes overhead costs
Requirements
- The ability to effectively lead and support a multi-discipline team of engineers, mechanics, Tech Ops, Quality Control, upper management, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative skills and the ability to effectively communicate the organization’s position with external and internal customers
- Experience with Catia V5 and/or SmarTeam model based design
- A positive attitude, team building, mentoring and coaching skills, and a desire to produce and promote training
Preferred Skills
- A fundamental understanding of the sizing, development and installation of airframe structural repairs
- Experience with aircraft systems
- Experience with airworthiness regulations in regards to major repairs
- Experience with static and FDT stress analysis in post-production environment or a production MRB stress engineer
- Experience with materials, M&P processes and part fabrication
- Gulfstream engineering experience on GIV/GV/G650/G500/G600/G700/G800
- Experience with composite repair
- Experience in the repair of metallic structure

- Exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments, and makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative
- Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product
Education and Experience
- Advanced degree in engineering, or related curriculum preferred
- The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline
