Service Engineer III

Job Description

The Service Engineer III is an advanced-level, independently capable field and workshop technician responsible for performing complex maintenance, overhaul, troubleshooting, and repair work on industrial turbochargers. This role requires high technical competency, strict adherence to safety and quality standards, and strong customer-facing professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced disassembly, inspection, balancing, repair, and reassembly of industrial turbochargers
• Conduct troubleshooting, diagnostics, and failure analysis
• Execute field service work at customer sites and remote support as needed
• Prepare accurate service reports, failure findings, and documentation
• Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and ISO/AIMS standards
• Provide support and mentoring to Service Engineer I & II team members
• Maintain strong customer communication and identify potential service opportunities

Background

• A high school diploma required; technical degree preferred
• 6+ years of turbocharger or rotating equipment service experience
• Proven ability to independently complete field service jobs
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and balancing skills
• Knowledge of RCA, NDT, and failure reporting preferred
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Willingness to travel and work in industrial environments
