Primary responsibilities
- Customer support: provide technical support and troubleshooting via phone, email, and on-site visits, alongside in-house diagnostics, repairs, and calibration of ELTRA instruments.
- Organization: prepare and issue quotes for spare parts and service work and ensure all activities are documented in the ERP.
- Installations and maintenance: assist in commissioning new equipment at customer sites and conduct preventive maintenance on customer equipment in accordance with service agreements.
- Stakeholder relationships: build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and end users.
- In-house equipment and workshop: maintain and service VSUS laboratory units, and ensure a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
As Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) Eltra you're a perfect match, if
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Electrical or Technical field preferred; alternatively, a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a maintenance/service technician in a laboratory or industrial environment, as well as basic knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
- Technical experience: solid understanding of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems and proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and standard hand tools; ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- IT skills: experience with CRM and ERP systems highly preferred, and sound proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Additional skills: strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Location
- Based out of Newtown, PA and willingness to travel up to 70%, including overnight trips.
