About the role

The Service Development Representative plays a crucial role in providing case management functions within the community, acting as a liaison between providers and referral sources to ensure a smooth transition of services from different levels of clinical intensity. They develop and implement business and marketing plans for the facility, manage their individual marketing budget, collaborate with the medical director, program administrator, staff, and community to identify specific areas of educational needs, and assist with care alternatives for patients and families as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business and marketing plans for the facility
  • Manage individual marketing budget
  • Collaborate with the medical director, program administrator, staff, and community to identify specific areas of educational needs
  • Establish strategic marketing plans to achieve the facility's objectives
  • Act as a liaison between providers and referral sources to ensure a smooth transition of services
  • Manage referral relationships within the community
  • Conduct pre-admission screenings as a liaison between the source and hospital to obtain minimum information so the clinical team can have insight in determining admission eligibility
  • Communicate results of the pre-screening process and recommendations to the patient/family and referral source per company policy
  • Promote mental health prevention awareness
  • Sit on community resource boards where appropriate
  • Develop positive relationships with community resources and networks to provide a seamless continuum of care and maintain positive collaborative relationships

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Sales or Development in healthcare and/or medical industry
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing preferred, or Business Development

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
