About the role

EY is the only professional services firm with a separate business unit (“FSO”) dedicated to the financial services marketplace. Our FSO teams have been at the forefront of reshaping and redefining the financial services industry. We help our clients transform their businesses through disruptive innovation and transformational design solutions. The FSO team supports clients in modernizing systems, processes, and products to enhance business and customer-facing platforms and services in a rapidly changing and competitive environment. The team leverages microservices, cloud, omnichannel integration, API management, and open-source technologies to enable end-to-end automation.

Responsibilities

  • Support engagement teams through the analysis of specific business requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of distributed software applications.
  • Deliver high-quality systems with a focus on reliability and excellent customer experience.
  • Communicate progress to client engagement teams.
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.

Requirements

  • Prior full-stack software product development experience with a preference for understanding DevOps and its supporting services and tools.
  • Proven experience in agile methodologies, including all phases of the project lifecycle such as requirements definition, engineering design, development, integration, and testing.
  • Hands-on technical capabilities in multiple programming languages.
  • Effectively work with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment.
  • Understand current technology environments and industry trends and provide recommendations for engagement and client service issues.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in technology software development.
  • Back-end experience using modern technologies like Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, microservices, serverless, and cloud technologies like AWS, or Azure.
  • Front-end development with modern frameworks and practices like React, Angular, or responsive web design.
  • Experience in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Experience in building applications/platforms with cloud-native/microservices architecture, including experience with IaaS, PaaS, container deployment.
  • Experience with modern collaborative development tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Experience working with testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing, knowledge of TDD or BDD software development techniques.
  • Experience in delivering digital projects and products using appropriate agile project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with automated testing and integration of complex systems.
  • Experience in designing and architecting large business-critical systems.

Skills

  • Experience with Akka/Scala, Kafka/RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, Hadoop/Spark/Flume, MongoDB/Cassandra/NoSQL databases.

The base salary range for this role in all geographic locations in the US is $86,600 to $197,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $103,900 to $224,700. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

Pay

The base salary range for this role in all geographic locations in the US is $86,600 to $197,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $103,900 to $224,700. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
