About the role

EY is the only professional services firm with a separate business unit ("FSO") dedicated to the financial services marketplace. Our FSO teams have been at the forefront of reshaping and redefining the financial services industry. Responsibilities

Support engagement teams through the analysis of specific business requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of distributed software applications.
Deliver high-quality systems with a focus on reliability and excellent customer experience.
Communicate progress to client engagement teams.
Collaborate with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds to foster an innovative and inclusive work environment.
Provide recommendations for engagement and client service issues based on current technology environment and industry trends.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field.
A minimum of 6 years’ experience in technology software development.
Back-end experience using modern technologies like Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, Microservices, Serverless, and Cloud technologies like AWS, or Azure.
Front-end development with modern frameworks and practices like React, Angular, or Responsive web design.
Experience in designing, building and consuming RESTful APIs.
Experience with cloud native/Microservices architecture, including experience with IaaS, PaaS, container deployment.
Experience with modern collaborative development tools (e.g. Git, CI/CD pipelines).
Experience working with testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing and knowledge of TDD or BDD software development techniques.
Experience in delivering digital projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology.
Familiarity with automated testing and integration of complex systems.
Experience in designing and architecting large business-critical systems.

Qualifications

Fullstack software product development experience with a preferred understanding of DevOps and its supporting services and tools.
Proven agile methodology experience in all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements definition, engineering design, development, integration, and testing.
Hands-on technical capabilities in multiple programming languages.
Effective communication and collaboration with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
Understanding of current technology environment and industry trends.

Skills

Experience with Akka/Scala, Kafka/RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, Hadoop/Spark/Flume, MongoDB/Cassandra/NoSQL databases.

Benefits

Base salary range for this role in all geographic locations in the US is $86,600 to $197,800. Base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $103,900 to $224,700. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

Pay

The base salary range for this role in all geographic locations in the US is $86,600 to $197,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $103,900 to $224,700. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

Schedule

Our expectation is for most people in external, client-serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project, or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You'll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
