About the role

EY is the only professional services firm with a separate business unit ("FSO") dedicated to the financial services marketplace. Our FSO teams have been at the forefront of reshaping and redefining the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support engagement teams through the analysis of specific business requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of distributed software applications.
  • Deliver high-quality systems with a focus on reliability and excellent customer experience.
  • Communicate progress to client engagement teams.
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.

Requirements

  • Prior fullstack software product development experience with a preference for understanding DevOps and its supporting services and tools.
  • Proven experience in agile methodologies, including requirements definition, engineering design, development, integration, and testing.
  • Hands-on technical capabilities in multiple programming languages.
  • Effectively work with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment.
  • Understanding of current technology environment and industry trends, and ability to provide recommendations for engagement and client service issues.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in technology software development.
  • Back-end experience using modern technologies like Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, Microservices, Serverless, and Cloud technologies like AWS, or Azure.
  • Front-end development with modern frameworks and practices like React, Angular, or Responsive web design.
  • Experience in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Experience in building applications/platforms with cloud native/Microservices architecture, including experience with IaaS, PaaS, container deployment.
  • Experience with modern collaborative development tools (e.g. Git, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Experience working with testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing, and knowledge of TDD or BDD software development techniques.
  • Experience in delivering digital projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology.
  • Familiarity with automated testing and integration of complex systems.
  • Experience in designing and architecting large business-critical systems.

Pay

The base salary range for this role in all geographic locations in the US is $86,600 to $197,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento) is $103,900 to $224,700. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
