Service Delivery Associate

About the role
The Service Delivery Associate will be responsible for daily delivery operations to support the Field Service Technicians by delivering parts, uniforms, etc. at various customer locations and remote lockers of the technicians in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This position is a physical, fast-paced role that includes lifting, lowering and carrying items that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs. Requires a high level of forward thinking, overcoming obstacles and a culture of safety is fostered while making the deliveries. The Service Delivery Associate will provide support in the various areas of the Parts Department before conducting the deliveries. Responsibilities
- Verify, load and deliver all items according to the pre-assigned map/schedule
- Delivery schedule may be altered based on the urgency of the customer or technician
- Communicates with Corporate Parts Manager to ensure seamless execution of scheduled deliveries and pickups
- Continually recommends actions/changes needed to be cost effective and increase efficiencies
- Perform inventory audits
- Maintain route vehicle reports and general appearance of the van
- Monitors and controls inventory when delivering or picking up from technicians or their lockers
- Resolves technician issues principally through phone conversations and email
- Assist in the various areas of the Parts Department – Tires, Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving
- Receive and/or provide cross-training for various jobs/functions as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a delivery driver
- Valid driver’s license with a great driving record
- Basic computer skills – MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude, well-groomed, professional appearance required; the company will provide the uniforms
- Self-motivation and the drive to work in an environment that relies on teamwork to meet goals
