Service Coordinator (VCA) Adult Unit - Bilingual: English/Spanish

About the role

North Bay Regional Center is seeking a Social Services Case Manager to join our dedicated team of Service Coordinators. In this role, you will manage the delivery of services to regional center clients—including those with intensive physical or emotional needs—ensuring that each client’s Individual Program Plan and its objectives are pursued.

Responsibilities

• Use person-centered planning to assist clients in leveraging public and private resources before using regional center funds to purchase services
• Monitor vendor services and verify that services are delivered in accordance with purchase-of-service authorizations
• Evaluate the effectiveness of clients’ Individual Program Plans and ensure appropriate community resources are made available
• Conduct annual reassessments of clients’ developmental status in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team
• Conduct client assessments on an occasional basis

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, Nursing, or a closely related field (minimum education requirement may not be waived)
• Master’s degree preferred
• Three years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency required

All employment at North Bay Regional Center requires face-to-face, in-person interactions with clients, family members, community partners, and coworkers. Candidates must live within commute distance to their preferred NBRC office and the geographic location of their assigned clients. While 100% remote work is not available, a hybrid arrangement may be available after successfully demonstrating performance expectations during at least three months of in-office work.
