Job Summary
The Service Coordinator at Relevant Industrial is responsible for ensuring the proper execution and delivery of technical support of rotating equipment. This role focuses on providing satisfaction to end users and distributors while ensuring company business goals of timely service and order fulfillment are met. The Service Coordinator works closely with the team to maintain smooth operations and effective communication with customers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service and Order Management
- Perform general order intake functions.
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails from customers and distributors.
- Respond to inquiries regarding stock balance, pricing, and availability; enter subsequent customer orders.
- Absorb and respond to issues related to inventory, pricing, deliveries, returns, credits, and technical problems.
- Track incoming shipments and back orders.
- Absorb and ensure accurate daily filing of customer orders, invoices, acknowledgments, and departmental communications.
Technical Documentation and Support
- Maintain and update technical documentation and resources.
- Assist in coordinating between customers, sales representatives, and management.
- Support sales and management with routine and special requests or projects.
- Communicate administrative activities and contribute to business growth.
Product Knowledge and Development
- Maintain a high level of parts knowledge with the capacity to develop a solid understanding of Relevant Industrial’s business culture.
- Act on behalf of team members in their absence when necessary.
- Participate in employee development programs, including product and application training, business, and personal development.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of experience working within the heavy equipment industry.
- Three years of practical experience in customer service.
- One year of experience in the mining and construction industry.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle a variety of complex situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequent communication with customers and cross-functional teams via phone, email, or in person.
- Ability to focus and concentrate in an office environment with standard noise levels.
- Occasional reaching, bending, or twisting to access office supplies or equipment.
- Visual acuity to view a computer screen and read printed materials.
- Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- Occasionally required to stand and walk.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
