Service Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Enhance the ability of residents to live independently in developments.
• Assess needs and link residents and community members to services.
• Plan and implement educational opportunities promoting health and well-being.
• Develop and support meaningful engagement between building residents and the surrounding community.
• Perform administrative duties related to Housing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated working knowledge of community services in the region with particular knowledge of services for the population living within the facility.
• Trained in the aging process, elder services, disability services, drug and alcohol abuse, and mental health issues.
• Strong knowledge of the social service system for the elderly/disabled.
• Ability to work with multiple agencies and understand their individual organizational priorities.
• Supervision of appropriate volunteers.
• Prior experience in community organization.
• Proven ability to build collaborative projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of community resources and programs benefiting senior citizens, low-income families, and disabled persons.
• Computer literate, especially proficient in Microsoft Office and email.

Education, Training and/or Experience

• Previous affordable housing experiences a plus.
• Must have good basic math and writing skills.
• Must be detail oriented and well organized.
• Ability to interact with low-income families, senior citizens, and disabled persons.

Salary Range

$45,000 - $50,000
