About the role
Bettenhausen Automotive is seeking a part-time Service Cashier to join our team in Tinley Park.
Responsibilities
- Receipt monies collected for service repair orders, parts counter tickets, and vehicle sales
- Assist with scheduling service appointments for customers
- Verify service and parts invoices are closed properly with the correct pay codes
- Guarantee checks through the UTA guarantee system following policy guidelines
- Balance the cash drawer and finalize the deposit
- Provide backup coverage for main reception desk
- Organize and file service and accounting files as needed; purge files when necessary
- Light lifting
Requirements
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Previous cashier experience preferred
- Previous automotive experience preferred
- Accounting knowledge is a plus—great experience for accounting majors
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Schedule
- Part-time, variable evenings: Monday - Friday 3:30 PM - Close (between 7 and 8 PM)
- Rotating Saturdays
