Service Call Dispatcher - Salt Lake City, UT

About the role

To dispatch commercial service technicians in response to customer needs, assisting with paperwork and providing support to technicians.

Responsibilities

• Answer multi-line telephone system, take accurate information in a professional manner.
• Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain communication with the customer on service call status.
• Dispatch service vehicles to service calls.
• Input service call information into the ADaM system and follow through to close completed work orders.
• Embrace Purcell’s culture of safety and perform all jobs in a safe manner.
• Regular attendance in accordance with assigned schedule.
• Ability to perform physical requirements as listed in job description.
• Other essential and non-essential duties, as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively over the phone with customers and co-workers.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
• Ability to apply common sense and solve problems as they arise.

Skills

• Knowledge of general computer skills and internet software.
