Service Associate Lead

About the role

This position will be responsible for all housekeeping duties and will also perform the functions of a Supervisor on days when department Managers are unavailable. This involves scheduling, assigning duties, monitoring attendance, answering calls within the hospital and addressing any concerns that would need to be addressed immediately.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties in patient rooms and non-patient care areas, including floor mopping, cleaning, and buffing utilizing necessary equipment.
• Clean and restock patient rooms and equipment.
• Support quality patient care services by maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly environment for healthcare providers, patients, and visitors of all ages and developmental levels.
• Perform daily and discharge cleaning of isolation and non-isolation patient rooms.
• Perform unplanned/unscheduled cleaning functions throughout the day in response to spills, accidents, unexpected debris, etc.
• Stock equipment and supplies in patient rooms.
• Handle regular and bio-hazard waste and linen.
• Demonstrate behavior consistent with the operating principles of Loyola University Medical Center and function as a contributing member of a healthcare team which meets patient needs through effective communication and commitment to quality outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year experience as a housekeeping specialist, or equivalent.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• One to three months of on-the-job training and experience to acquire thorough knowledge of safety procedures, treatment of carpet and flooring, infection control, isolation disinfection procedures, fabric cleaning techniques, and so forth.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.

Pay

$15.40 - $19.28 per hour. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
