Pay

Starting rate: $22.00 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and market factors; additional compensation may apply.

Responsibilities

Service Associates perform a hybrid role, combining duties of a Customer Service Representative (sales on the platform) and Teller (transactions at the teller line) in authorized branch locations.

• Account Representative Duties:
  • Work toward achieving individual sales and service goals.
  • Open deposit accounts.
  • Prepare and process loan applications for various lending units (mortgage, consumer, small business, etc.).
  • Close loans for applicable business lines (e.g., consumer lending).
  • Make referrals to other bank business lines and third‑party partners.
  • Proactively reach out by phone and in person to high‑value customers to retain and grow the portfolio.
  • Handle daily account maintenance and other service issues as necessary.
  • Ensure operational compliance and adherence to policy.
  • Support achieving quarterly sales targets.
• Teller Duties:
  • Process deposits, including cash verification, endorsement verification, and providing receipts.
  • Cash checks for customers and non‑customers according to bank policy.
  • Process and record the sale of monetary instruments (e.g., official bank checks).
  • File government‑mandated reports related to large cash transactions and monetary instrument sales.
  • Process foreign currency purchases and sales.
  • Process various loan payments and credit‑card cash advances.
  • Adhere to all bank policies and procedures for all duties.

Time spent on platform versus teller line may vary depending on branch needs.

Qualifications

• Authority to use discretion; must seek supervisor guidance when policy is unclear.
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Outgoing self‑starter with technical literacy.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of sales experience in retail, financial services, or hospitality preferred.
• Banking experience (e.g., teller) is a plus.
• Basic business acumen, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships and alliances across the organization.
• Quick learner of bank products and services.

Working Conditions

• Stationary position for long periods with continuous customer contact.
• Must be able to transport items weighing 15 pounds or more.
