Service Assistant

About the role

As a Service Assistant, you'll support the service team by keeping the shop, facility, and equipment operating efficiently while helping deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shop tools, equipment, and company vehicles, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to the Service Manager
• Travel to vendors to pick up parts, shop tools, and other service-related supplies
• Assist service technicians with major repairs and other shop duties as needed
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the shop, facility, and surrounding property, including lot maintenance
• Clean and prepare new, used, and customer trucks for delivery, ensuring they meet Hunter Truck's quality standards
• Perform routine starting and inspection of new and used truck inventory on a weekly basis
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment by following all company health and safety policies
• Work collaboratively with the service team to support daily operations and provide outstanding customer service

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Three to six months of related experience and basic computer skills preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver's License required; must meet company insurability standards

Physical Requirements

• Regular walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting throughout the workday
• Frequently lift and move materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and safely perform physical tasks associated with shop and facility maintenance

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 12:00pm
