Service Assistant

About the role

Hendrick Lexus Northlake is seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Advisor to join our team. This role is responsible for identifying and documenting service, maintenance, and repair needs for customers, scheduling service, and assisting with the service process.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers in the service drive area and assists them with the process of checking vehicle in for service.
• Assists Service Advisors by working with customers and technicians to identify required maintenance.
• May advise customers on necessary and recommended services.
• May offer additional services and repairs to customers.
• Aids in moving vehicles.
• Aids customers with reviewing documentation, processing payment, and returning keys for completed services.
• Schedules appointments with customers.
• Maintains Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) at or above company standards.
• Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Participates in required training.
• Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
• Fulfills Safeguards rules and regulations.
• Demonstrates Hendrick’s Core Values.
• Complies with Company policies and procedures.
• Observes all Federal, State, Local, and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
• Follows all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Field of study/work experience in automotive or customer service industries preferred.
• Previous experience in automotive or customer service industries desired.
• Basic knowledge of the mechanical operations of vehicles.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability and knowledge of the Dealership Management System and other web-based applications utilized for operations.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Desired Education

A High School Diploma is required. Field of study/work experience in automotive or customer service industries is preferred.
