Service Agent, Visitor Parking - Full Time - Day

Responsibilities
- Welcome, direct, and assist patients and visitors by greeting them courteously and utilizing proper verbal and non-verbal communication.
- Drive guest vehicles from Medical Plaza, Emergency Room, or JTCC to designated parking area of garages for valet parking and return vehicles to proper locations for pick-up when needed.
- Operate motor vehicles safely and effectively according to New Jersey motor vehicle laws.
- Assist incoming and outgoing guests with wheelchairs and getting in and out of vehicles as requested.
- Accurately document all vehicle tag information, claim numbers, and key storage locations.
- Maintain vehicles in good condition and return them in the same condition.
- Work as a team to keep staging areas clear and maintain smooth traffic flow.
- Investigate and report accidents within parking valet areas and notify security and supervisor if necessary.
- Transport outpatients between home and participating HUMC departments.
- Complete daily logs and fuel logs and return to department as requested.
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle at all times, including gas, repairs, and maintenance as needed.
- Process revenue and non-revenue traffic exiting the parking garages.
- Coordinate traffic flow and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Verify all garage cash deposits and enforce cash/coupon procedures for delivery to security for deposit.
- Collect wheelchairs and coordinate with the Information and Guest Services department for availability to Link lobby.
- Clean workstations and surrounding areas at all times.
- Complete risk reports for any events not consistent with routine operations of the facility.
- Anticipate the needs of the patient population served in relation to their age, culture, language, hearing, visual impairment, etc., and provide customer service accordingly.
- Complete all beginning and end-of-shift procedures to ensure consistency of service and submit to management as directed.
- Adhere to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- 1 year automatic driving experience.
- Standing, walking, visual acuity, manual dexterity, and working in the outdoor elements.
- Works every weekend, holiday, and flexible rotating hours.

- Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization.
- Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
