Service Advisor

Reefer Peterbilt is a second-generation family-owned medium & heavy-duty truck dealership looking for a Full-Time Service Advisor in New Boston, MI. This individual must be customer-oriented, be a team player, highly organized, and motivated. Responsibilities Answer incoming service calls, schedule service appointments, and maintain communicationWelcome customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain necessary vehicle informationHelp identify mechanical problems by carefully listening to customer concerns and doing visual inspectionsOpen repair order with detailed descriptions of customer concerns on repair orders to familiarize technicians on work to performEnsure customer approval on all estimated repairsFollow up progress of each repair order during the dayClose repair orders to include required documentation and information according to policy/procedure and state lawsExplain all diagnoses, work performed, and any repair order charges to the customerEstablish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral businessCheck in new trucks delivered to the shop and complete the proper formsPerform other duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skillsProblem-SolvingWorking knowledge of computers and proficient in web navigationStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated, willing to learn and grow with the company Requirements High school diploma or equivalentMust pass Pre-employment physical, drug, and background checkUnrestricted ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, lift & carry up to 50 lbs. Hourly from $22.50/hour + $32.00/hour, based on experience.
