Service Advisor

About the role

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is seeking a Service Advisor to join our growing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure customers receive the most expedient service available through open communication and coordination with the Service Manager and Shop Foremen.

Essential Functions

• Captures customer repair requests and coordinates tasks with Service Manager and Shop Foremen.
• Schedules shop business and coordinates with Shop Foremen for proper work scheduling.
• Estimates repair costs within set guidelines and works with Service Manager to resolve disputes and handle warranty claims.
• Ensures all necessary documentation for labor sales is complete and properly executed.
• Inputs repair order information into the data processing system and closes repair orders.
• Maintains and administers shop tools and supplies.
• Informs the Service Manager of customer complaints and advises customers of needed service work and additional labor, parts, and body shop sales.
• Participates in training to stay current on technical and warranty issues.
• Assists in maintaining a clean shop and office area.
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Qualifications

• CDL (preferred)
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in related field
• Computer experience (preferred)
• Strong customer relations and communication skills
• Good leadership abilities
• A positive can-do attitude
