Responsibilities
- Welcome customers to the dealership and engage with them to understand their vehicle concerns.
- Ascertaining automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms, clarifying description of problems, conducting inspections, checking vehicle maintenance records, and examining service schedules.
- Developing estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, and calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
- Maintaining customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle, obtaining customer's approval of estimates, obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers, and answering questions and concerns.
- Handling administrative duties such as processing invoices and maintaining customer records.
- Maintaining automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
- Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading manufacturers' publications, etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive setting.
- Broad knowledge of automotive systems and ability to explain technical diagnoses to non-technical individuals.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Strong verbal communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
