About the role
Hollingsworth Richards Ford is seeking a motivated and professional Service Advisor to join our established and busy service department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and communication skills, along with previous experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities
- Promptly greet customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Obtain accurate customer and vehicle information
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and ask the appropriate questions to clearly document vehicle symptoms
- Perform a vehicle walk around and document the vehicle's condition
- Review vehicle maintenance history, age, and mileage to identify appropriate service recommendations
- Prepare complete and accurate estimates for recommended labor and parts
- Clearly explain recommended repairs and maintenance to customers
- Establish realistic expectations and a specific follow up time with each customer
- Communicate with technicians and other departments throughout the repair process
- Maintain accurate and current documentation throughout the repair process
- Verify completed repairs and ensure the final invoice matches the work authorized and performed
- Explain completed repairs, maintenance, warranty coverage, and charges to customers at vehicle delivery
- Follow up with customers and help ensure an exceptional overall service experience
Requirements
- Previous Service Advisor, Assistant Lane Manager, or Service Consultant experience preferred
- Previous Ford dealership experience is a plus
- Automotive service department experience preferred
- Proven record of providing exceptional customer satisfaction
- Strong knowledge of automobiles and automotive service
- Ability to listen to customers and quickly identify and accurately document their concerns
- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple customers and repair orders in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
