Responsibilities
- Assists the Service Manager in quoting, estimating, and delivering CVA’s (service contracts) upcoming jobs coming into the service department.
- Sets up jobs and work areas for Service Technicians based on their skills and knowledge.
- Acts proactively to seek customer feedback, anticipate problems, and respond promptly.
- Handles employee issues and concerns, and reviews repair work orders for accuracy.
- Works with the Service Manager or supervisor in various aspects of the service department, fulfilling the responsibilities of the Service Manager when necessary.
- Communicates with the Service Manager regularly to review department performance, profitability, and efficiency.
- Shares technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold within the dealership’s area of responsibility.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations, adhering to company manuals and employee handbook policies.
- Conducts oneself professionally in front of customers and the community, presenting a positive image of Butler Machinery Company.
- Participates in company-sponsored training and other related efforts, promoting teamwork and exemplary customer service.
- Takes after-hours calls to support customers and technicians as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including supervisory tasks.
Qualifications
- A high school and/or technical school education or equivalent combination of experience, training, and education required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong technical knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
