Responsibilities

• Determine a customer’s vehicle issue
• Document and prepare repair orders
• Schedule service
• Communicate with the customer
• Prepare estimates and obtain authorization
• Close repair orders
• Obtain the appropriate form of payment from the customer

This position reports to the Service Manager, is a 40-hour-a-week position, and is eligible for overtime. It also qualifies for a monthly bonus incentive based on individual gross profit.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Professional appearance and strong oral and written communication skills
• Two years of related experience in a dealership
• General knowledge of truck mechanical operations

Sales experience preferred.

Work Environment

• Works throughout the service bays in an open garage area
• Physically demanding: stands six to eight hours per shift; stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, reaches, handles, and feels
• Lifts and transports up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials
• Road testing of vehicles may be required
