Server - Weekend Only - Part-Time 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Receive and deliver accurate orders to and from residents and supervisors.
• Accountable for the knowledge and confidence of the menu, daily specials, and food preparation.
• Able to handle special requests and menu related questions with accuracy and promptness.
• Expedite, carry, and deliver multiple plates of food efficiently and accurately based on the server training guidelines.
• Ensure all necessary health, food, and safety codes and regulations are performed at all times.
• Knowledge of all menu items, specifications of ingredients, portions, and procedures.
• Wears a neat, clean, pressed uniform with name tag and safety shoes.
• Attends service lineups and department in-service meetings.
• Executes all necessary opening and closing duties pertinent to scheduled shift or extra assignment.
• Performs pre-bussing/bussing of tables timely and consistently.
• Responds to tasks assigned by each of the supervisors.
• Assists in various projects that pertain to onsite operations from time to time.
• Holds themselves and others accountable for the job or task assigned.
• Provides and promotes a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
• Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and take direction.
• Attends ongoing education and training as set by management team.
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested by management team.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of the industry.
• Excellent verbal, written and listening skills.
• Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation.
• Professional communication skills including verbal and listening skills.
• Must be self-motivated, organized and able to problem solve situations.
• ServSafe Food Handlers Certification preferred.
• ServSafe Michigan Allergen Certification preferred.
