Server - Weekend Only

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Server for our weekend-only shift at our community, dedicated to celebrating life every day for our residents and their families.

Responsibilities

• Receive and deliver accurate orders to and from residents and supervisors.
• Demonstrate knowledge and confidence of the menu, daily specials, and food preparation.
• Handle special requests and menu-related questions with accuracy and promptness.
• Expedite, carry, and deliver multiple plates of food efficiently and accurately based on server training guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all health, food, and safety codes and regulations.
• Know all menu items, specifications of ingredients, portions, and procedures.
• Wear a neat, clean, pressed uniform with name tag and safety shoes.
• Attend service lineups and department in-service meetings.
• Execute all necessary opening and closing duties pertinent to scheduled shift or extra assignment.
• Perform pre-bussing/bussing of tables timely and consistently.
• Respond to tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Assist in various projects that pertain to onsite operations from time to time.
• Hold themselves and others accountable for assigned tasks.
• Provide and promote a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
• Work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Work in a team environment and take direction.
• Attend ongoing education and training as set by the management team.
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the management team.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of the industry.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
• Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation.
• Professional communication skills, including verbal and listening.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to problem-solve situations.
• ServSafe Food Handlers Certification preferred.
• ServSafe Michigan Allergen Certification preferred.
