Pay

Hourly rate: $9.30 per hour (tipped position; earnings may include tips).

Life in Shenandoah National Park

Low‑cost, recently updated dormitory housing is available for $100 per week, including utilities and Wi‑Fi, with free daily meals for individuals who reside 50+ miles from the worksite. Free rides to Luray for team members in employee housing, a shared fire‑pit area, and abundant outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, rock climbing, rappelling, cycling, fishing, and horseback riding.

Responsibilities

• Greet and attend to guests’ needs, provide menus, clearly communicate restaurant specials, answer menu questions, and collect food and beverage orders.
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to all alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Accurately enter orders into the point‑of‑sale system, process payments, and prepare and deliver checks to guests.
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen, and bar staff.
• Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side‑work duties as assigned, ensuring all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning.

Requirements

• Experience in cash handling and credit‑card processing.
• Beneficial: at least one year’s experience as a server in a high‑volume environment and familiarity with a point‑of‑sale system in a service or hospitality setting.
• No high school diploma or GED required.
• Physical: must be able to lift 35 lb, stand, walk, and bend for long periods (including walking up stairs); visual and hearing ability sufficient to take orders and prepare checks.
