Server PT - Avamere Hillsboro

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays, food carts and the dining room
• Ensure that food, menus and supplies for the next meal are readily available
• Assist in daily cleaning duties, such as worktables, refrigerators, etc.
• Retrieve dishes from the dining room, wash and clean utensils, and return them to their proper storage areas
• Keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous materials
• Assist Cooks in preparing meals

Requirements

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety at a level normally acquired through on-the-job training
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene while working, including frequent hand washing and securing hair away from the face
• Interpersonal skills necessary to establish effective relationships with department workers and with other departments
• Skill and ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment
• Ability to obtain and maintain active CPR/First Aid Certification during employment
• Current Food Handlers card issued by local Health Department
• Knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures, as well as related laws, regulations and pertaining to hospital and nursing home operation
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests. Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment
