We are seeking a highly experienced Server Product Architect with RISC-V product experience to define the architecture of a server SoC that meets demanding customer KPIs across performance, power, area, cost, reliability, security, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with chip and platform architects to define and develop Product and SoC architecture
- Develop server roadmap and feature set across one or more architecture domains
- Model and evaluate key server KPIs, including performance, power, area, cost, RAS, and related product trade-offs
- Create detailed architecture specification documents that communicate product decisions, trade-offs, and implementation guidance to cross-functional engineering teams
- Communicate effectively with senior engineers, architects, and technologists while operating in a fast-moving, cross-functional product development environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience
- OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 9+ years of related experience
- OR PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of related experience
- Extensive knowledge of RISC-V CPU and SoC architecture, including chiplet architecture, coherency management, memory systems, power management, RAS, security, debug, and test architecture
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for translating product requirements into clear architectural trade-offs and decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 15 years of experience in semiconductor product development (e.g., System design, SoC architecture, HW design and validation, Silicon test, SW development)
- 15+ years of experience in CPU and/or SoC architecture, including at least 5 years of experience with RISC-V-based products
- Strong understanding of RISC-V profiles and RV64 application processor requirements
- Strong expertise in multiple architecture domains of a server SoC including AIA and IOMMU architecture
- Experience in making PPA, cost, feature, and schedule trade-offs to define product architecture
- Strong technical documentation skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- 5+ years of experience building high-performance server products
- Deep understanding of RISC-V Server SoC specification and platform enumeration and firmware requirements
- Deep understanding of CPU architecture including virtualization extensions
- Strong understanding of RISC-V security including confidential compute (CoVE) architecture
- Experience in commercializing server products with proven ability to influence next-generation architectures
- Strong expertise across multiple SoC architecture domains like coherency management, memory system, IO architecture, power management, and security
- Experience with RAS, Debug, and Test architecture for datacenter products
- Experience with ARM architecture including server architectures is a plus
- Proven track record in delivering hyperscale data center solutions
Pay
$284,900.00 - $427,300.00
