About The Venue
The Dome is a premier 5,000-capacity indoor-outdoor music hall in Virginia Beach’s Atlantic Park.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide customer service throughout the event.
- Take food and beverage orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages according to venue procedures.
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Verify identification when serving alcoholic beverages and follow all alcohol service requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, beverage options, pricing, and available products.
- Monitor guests and follow responsible alcohol service procedures.
- Keep tables, service stations, and assigned areas clean and organized.
- Restock supplies as needed throughout the event.
- Communicate with bartenders, barbacks, kitchen staff, supervisors, and other team members to support service.
- Respond to guest questions and concerns and involve a supervisor when needed.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
- Follow company policies and venue procedures.
- Assist with opening, closing, and event setup or breakdown as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous serving, restaurant, bar, hospitality, or event experience preferred but not required.
- Must meet all state and local age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to provide customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate with guests, coworkers, and management.
- Ability to accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and guest orders.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items associated with food and beverage service.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from the supervisors.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid alcohol compliance certification (e.g., TABC, TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or other state-approved certification) before working any scheduled events.

Pay
This role pays an hourly rate of $10.00 and is tip eligible.
