The Part-Time Server role is the most important role in delivering a best-in-class dining experience, as they are the first and last contact with residents and have the ability to resolve any service issues as they arise. A Server’s responsibility is attending to diners before, during, and after their meals by helping them place and receive their orders. They also ensure the timely delivery of food and beverages by checking on their tables periodically throughout the service period.
Responsibilities
- Greets customers.
- Takes food and drink orders from customers and answers questions about menu items.
- Relays customers’ orders to other kitchen staff.
- Serves food and drinks to customers.
- Cleans assigned work areas, such as dining tables or serving counters.
- Stocks service stations, cabinets, and tables.
- Sets tables or prepares food stations for new customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Excellent listening skills and detail-oriented.
- Able to ask appropriate questions to deliver the best service possible.
- Experience in a hospitality, healthcare, or service environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds.
