Server- Part Time

About the Role

Provide excellent customer service to residents by taking orders, serving meals, offering assistance, and creating a pleasant dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive manner
• Learn and retain residents’ names, special requests, and dietary restrictions
• Ensure the dining room is set up with all necessary items (silverware, napkins, menus, salt/pepper shakers, etc.)
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directed
• Ensure safe food handling practices
• Assist with preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service
• Assist residents with any special dining requests
• Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal and complete attendance documentation
• Assist with special events
• Participate in and attend all in-service training as scheduled
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Abilities

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell
• Must lift or carry up to 50 lbs and perform intermittent physical activity, including lifting and supporting residents, using proper body mechanics

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; GED accepted
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Experience working with seniors

Pay

Hourly rate: $17.00
