Server part time

About the role

Part-time Server position interacting with residents and guests in Independent Living. Servers are expected to provide attentive, friendly, and efficient service, ensuring residents and guests feel welcome, comfortable, and valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of dining room services, including waiting on assigned tables, taking orders, setting and busing tables.
• Ensure all shift duties are thoroughly completed before the end of each shift.
• Set up and clean up for special functions.
• Understand menu items and specials well enough to answer diners' questions before each meal period.
• Properly greet all residents and guests.
• Adhere to all sanitation, food handling, and safety policies and procedures as outlined by Encore Village and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident and employee information.
• Follow established personal appearance and hygiene procedures.
• Attend and participate in in-service training programs.
• Report all hazardous conditions or equipment.
• Prepare routine set-up of the dining room for the next day and/or special holidays.
• Maintain a high quality level of service.
• Demonstrate effective reading, writing, and speaking skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good communication skills.
