About the role

The Server is responsible for taking orders for and serving food and beverage with proper table service and hospitality. They will maintain an efficient, profitable, and professional dining room by helping develop repeat customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with hospitality, make personal connections, and maintain proper guest relations during the meal.
• Work in the dining room, serve food and beverage, and provide table service to guests in a professional, accurate, and friendly manner, following steps of table service guidelines.
• Perform shift duties such as setup, side work, dining room, and server aisle cleanup.
• Participate as a team player to ensure smooth operations of the dining area.
• Display a professional attitude, demeanor, and cooperation toward guests, peers, and management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Serving experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Ability to read tickets and communicate with customers, managers, and other employees.
• Good and positive interpersonal verbal communication skills.
• Sales skills preferred.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and work independently with minimal or no supervision.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Communicate customer needs and help solve minor problems and complaints; escalate to management when necessary.
• Basic computational ability and computer skills to use the POS system.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus, food preparation, and presentation.

Skills

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, bend, crouch/stoop, twist, and reach for extended periods of time.
• Stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.
• High level of energy and physical stamina.
• Ability to reach other departments of the restaurant, kitchen, and bar areas on a timely basis.
• Lift up to 30 lbs. above eye level and balance a food tray.
• Carry and balance a beverage tray.
• Lift up to 40 lbs. intermittently during the workday.

Pay

$8.75 per hour plus tips.

Schedule

Part-time AM and PM shifts.
