We are seeking a dependable and service-oriented part-time Server to support our dining team in delivering a warm, efficient, and restaurant-style experience for residents and their guests. This role is essential to ensuring meals are served with professionalism, attentiveness, and care. The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to creating a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Dining Room Service & Execution
  • Set up dining areas and serving stations prior to each meal.
  • Serve meals to residents in accordance with menu guidelines and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure meals are delivered accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of service.
  • Reset tables, refill water, and maintain an organized and inviting dining environment.
  • Deliver meal trays to resident apartments as needed.
• Resident Experience & Customer Service
  • Provide warm, respectful, and attentive service to residents, families, and guests.
  • Approach all interactions with professionalism and a resident-first mindset.
  • Anticipate resident needs and respond promptly to requests.
  • Support a calm, welcoming, and hospitality-driven dining atmosphere.
• Team Support & Side Work
  • Complete assigned side work, opening tasks, and closing duties consistently and on time.
  • Assist with dish area support, cleaning, and overall dining room upkeep as needed.
  • Support kitchen and dining team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and related workspaces.
• Compliance & Safety
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
  • Uphold residents’ rights, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Teamwork & Communication
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, leadership, and care teams.
  • Participate in required training and support continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall dining operations.

Qualifications

• Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred
• Food Handler’s Permit (or willingness to obtain)
• ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Compassion for and a desire to work with older adults

Physical & Professional Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull as needed for service duties
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to meet all health requirements
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening
• Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening (additional info)
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
