About the role

We're opening a brand-new location in Yachats, OR, and we're building our founding team ahead of our September opening. Responsibilities

• Facilitate memorable moments, meaningful connections, and inspiring loyalty by providing positive, personable interactions with guests and co-workers.
• Maintain expert knowledge of food and beverage menus and local areas and attractions to provide a superior level of service.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
• Greet guests within 1 minute of seating and take orders promptly and accurately.
• Deliver food and beverages to assigned sections and assist with other sections as needed.
• Remove dishes after each course and glasses from tables.
• Work calmly and agilely in a fast-paced environment and resolve guest complaints, notifying management as needed.
• Assist other service personnel and perform all duties in accordance with Pelican customer service standards.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, events, and community involvement to share with guests.
• Perform additional duties as requested and work additional positions as business needs arise.

Requirements

• Two years of front-of-house restaurant experience.
• Cash handling knowledge and experience.
• OLCC Certification and Food Handler’s Certification.
• Professional and positive attitude.
• Knowledge of beer and cocktail programming.
• Physical endurance to move quickly and ability to carry large trays.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat frequently to receive and store stock, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to work in an environment subject to loud noises, fumes, odors, dust, and smoke.

Pay

$15.55 per hour.
