Server, Immigrant Restaurant

Work Mode: Onsite | Location: Kohler, WI

About the role

Ensure that all guests are served to the standard in the Restaurant / Bar / Banquet areas. Takes orders for, serves (where applicable, prepares) food and beverages to guests as per the standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner. This is a casual part-time position working weekends and weekdays. Hours vary between 4:00 pm - 12:00 am.

Responsibilities

• Informs guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any.
• Suggest food and beverages to the guest utilizing appropriate methods to upsell.
• Take food and beverage orders from the guest and accurately enter into Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Greets guests and presents them with the menu when applicable.
• Process payment transactions.
• Clear and reset table settings and linens, as needed.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Communicate to the guest and provide assistance with questions.
• Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
• Serve food and beverage per the course of order.
• Observe guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service.
• Promptly respond to guests with any additional requests.
• Maintain proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
• Prepare mixed drinks for service to your customers' table when applicable (must be 18 or over and licensed).
• Understand and communicate products and services available at the resort.
• Assist with stocking and maintaining the restaurant par stock levels and side station.
• Help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and seating guests.

Requirements

• Safe Serve Certified, as applicable.
• 2 years previous experience as a server, required.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, and stoop or kneel.
• Must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $2.33 - $6.70 plus tips/gratuity. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
