The Server is one who enjoys providing exceptional hospitality to our guests. Enjoys being a reliable team player and possesses strong customer service skills. Serves alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and food to guests for an upscale gaming facility. This position requires previous experience in an alcohol beverage related service. This position is Sunday-Saturday (Additional $6 per hour for Friday, Saturday and Sunday shifts results in $22.00 base rate) plus tips. Duties & Responsibilities Preparing the dining area and keeping cleanWelcoming guests into the dining areaProviding information to help food and beverage selections and offering recommendationsTaking and delivering food and beverage orders accurately and promptly making sure that what comes out of the kitchen is correct and appealing before taking it to the table.Periodically check in with customers to make sure everything is going well with their meal, being attentive, and responding to additional requests as needed.Help with basic food prep as needed, and/or perform light cleaning in the dining, serving stations, or kitchen areas.Keep serving stations stocked with ice, soda, etc., as well as keeping their section clean and prepared for new guests.Maintaining dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitudeAdhering to sanitation standards to keep their guests safeObserve and understand if guest has reached intoxication level & be able to handle the situationMust be people oriented and able to hear and communicate effectively in a noisy environment.Must be able to work in low-light, smoking environmentBe responsible for the accuracy of the monies collectedMust have ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosAll other duties as assigned Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent 21 years of age or older Subject to drug screen within 90 days of employment Ability to pass a background check Ability to work weekends, nights, holidays and day shifts. Ability to perform light physical tasks, exerting up to 25 lbs. of force on a frequent basis Ability to perform such activities as grasping, lifting, reaching, crouching, walking, and carrying. Good verbal and written communication skills. Preferences One-year serving and/or craft brewery experience. R-Serve. Serve-Safe certification.
