About the role

Timbers Kaua‘i at Hōkūala is seeking a Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six months of food and beverage experience and prior customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service
• Writes order on check or memorizes it
• Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars
• Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving
• Serves patrons from chafing dish at table
• Carves meat, bones fish and fowl, and prepares flaming dishes and desserts at patron’s table
• Observes dinners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
• Totals bill and accepts payment to refer patron to Cashier
• Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by establishment’s size and practices
• Clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course
• Places and processes food and beverage orders utilizing the restaurant’s POS system
• Performs other duties as appropriate and directed by supervisor/manager

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of food and beverage experience
• Prior experience in customer service
• Correct use of business English language
• Customer service principles and practices
