About the Role
As a Server - Beer and Wine, you will guide guests in ordering food and beverages to enhance their movie-going experience. This includes greeting guests, making menu suggestions, demonstrating strong menu knowledge, and delivering quick, timely counter service. You may also cross-train and work as a Restaurant Worker, Concessionist, Box Office Cashier, or Usher based on staffing needs.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
- Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- Handle all transactions on assigned register, including maintaining proper cash balance, distributing correct tickets or inventory, logging off when away from the register, and reporting concerns to management
- Verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- Ensure alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- Use suggestive selling techniques consistently
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure food orders are accurate
- Consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
- Properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position-specific tasks
- Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- Monitor safety and security issues (e.g., trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons) and report to management
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proof of age (must be 18, or 21 in some states, to serve, pour, or mix alcoholic beverages)
- Complete basic food handling training and obtain any local or state-mandated certification, health card, or food handler’s permit where required
- Complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program if working with alcohol
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
- Provide excellent guest service
- Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities; must effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend English
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Ability to take and follow direction
- Respond with a sense of urgency
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theater
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods
- Noise level may be moderate to high at times

Pay
Pay range: $8.15 - $12.62 per hour
