Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly, ensuring they feel welcomed.
- Present menus, answer questions, and provide recommendations on menu items, daily specials, and beverages.
- Ensure guests’ dining experience is enjoyable by addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, input them into the POS system, and communicate any special requests to the kitchen.
- Monitor tables throughout the meal to ensure satisfaction and respond to additional requests.
- Input all individual orders into the POS in accordance to guest position numbers and never “auction” food upon delivery.
- Properly serve all dishes with clear and concise verbiage and place each dish properly in front of the guests.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Set up and clear tables efficiently, including removing used dishes, resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Absorb and relay feedback from guests to improve service and dining experience.
- Absorb and relay feedback from management to improve operations and training.
- Absorb and relay feedback from colleagues to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Absorb and relay feedback from customers to enhance the overall experience.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Food Server in a high volume, upscale dining environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Alcohol, beer and wine service certifications including but not limited to Court of Master Sommeliers, Certified Beer Server, Bar Smarts, WSET, etc.
Qualifications
- Customer-focused and able to provide exceptional service.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of basic food and beverage service procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including off hours, weekends and holidays.
