About the role

Yardbird, an iconic Southern‑hospitality restaurant in Miami Beach celebrated by James Beard and Bon Appétit, is seeking a friendly, attentive, and customer‑focused Server. The Server will ensure guests have a memorable dining experience by providing exceptional service, accurate order‑taking, and timely delivery of food and beverages.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly, ensuring they feel welcomed.
• Present menus, answer questions, and provide recommendations on menu items, daily specials, and beverages.
• Ensure guests’ dining experience is enjoyable by addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, input them into the POS system, and communicate any special requests to the kitchen.
• Monitor tables throughout the meal to ensure satisfaction and respond to additional requests.
• Input all individual orders into the POS in accordance with guest position numbers and never “auction” food upon delivery.
• Properly serve all dishes with clear and concise verbiage and place each dish correctly in front of the guests.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Set up and clear tables efficiently, including removing used dishes, resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Assist with pre‑service and post‑service duties, such as restocking supplies and polishing glassware.
• Adhere to company policies regarding alcohol service and verify identification when necessary.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a Food Server in a high‑volume, upscale dining environment (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Alcohol, beer, and wine service certifications (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers, Certified Beer Server, Bar Smarts, WSET, etc.).

Schedule

• Flexible hours, including off‑hours, weekends, and holidays.
