Server

About the role

Come join our award-winning team as a Server at the Hilton Garden Inn restaurant. The position is part-time working during the dinner rush, with several shifts available (4:30pm-10:30pm) and one weekend a month. The pay is hourly plus tips. Must be 21+.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks
• Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu changes, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items
• Maintain proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses
• Prepare mixed drinks (as appropriate) for service to customer's table
• Open and pour wine at the tableside
• Accept payments, issue receipts, and return change
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
• Assist with special events as needed
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Prefer high school diploma or equivalent
• Some familiarity with basic cooking skills
• Previous serving experience preferred
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Positive interpersonal skills
• Current food handlers permit
