Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver orders to tables in a timely manner
- Provide recommendations on menu items and answer any questions or concerns
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on tables regularly and addressing any issues promptly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Process payments accurately using the POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations.
Skills
- Food preparation: Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and ability to assist in the kitchen when needed.
- Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple tables simultaneously, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Restaurant experience: Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting is preferred.
- Customer service: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service and address guest needs.
- Basic math: Proficiency in basic math calculations for accurate order taking and payment processing.
- Food safety: Knowledge of proper food handling procedures to ensure the safety of our guests.
- OpenTable: Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation management systems is a plus.
- POS: Experience using point-of-sale systems for order entry and payment processing.
