About the Role

Esplanade at St Marys, located in St Marys, GA, is seeking a driven Server to join our fast-paced hospitality-focused team. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
• Describe specials of the day and answer questions regarding menu items, offering suggestions when appropriate.
• Take food and beverage orders, deliver food promptly, and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Replenish items as needed and maintain an organized workstation.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Complete side work duties and manage checks and cash transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Follow established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders, including tray service for all food and beverage.
• Adhere to safe work practices and maintain regular, reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Server and customer service experience required.
• Ability to read and speak English to communicate with guests and coworkers (manuals and equipment instructions are in English).
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of POS systems.
• Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training (certifications required).

Physical Demands

• Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, reaches with arms and hands, stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouches; talks or hears.
• Occasionally sits, climbs, or balances.
• Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions; noise level is moderate.
