About the role

The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is seeking a Part‑Time AM Server to join the Food & Beverage team in the historic Old Port District. The AM Server provides exceptional service by greeting guests, taking and delivering food and beverage orders, and ensuring a positive dining experience in a fast‑paced restaurant setting.

Schedule

Morning shift required: 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM, with flexibility to pick up PM and banquet shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Monitor order timing and ensure prompt, accurate service.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side‑work duties.
• Restock service items throughout the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the outlet.
• Support fellow servers, hosts, food runners, and supervisors.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate to management when needed.
• Follow all Maine liquor laws and hotel safety procedures.
• Assist with training new team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• TIPS Certification required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
