About the role

Upstream Hospitality Group is an ever-growing hospitality group that values creativity, progression, and originality. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Server to join our team. As a natural people-person with an eye for detail, you will thrive in a fast-paced setting, work well with a team, and bring positive energy to every shift.

Responsibilities

• Have full knowledge of the menu, liquor/beer, specials, promotions, and events.
• Exude hospitality, take guests’ food and beverage orders, utilize salesmanship techniques, and make appropriate recommendations.
• Adhere to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations, including asking for ID when serving alcohol to guests.
• Use the POS system to input orders correctly.
• Complete all opening and closing tasks, as well as assigned side-work.
• Know the full layout of the restaurant, including table numbers and storage areas.
• Promote the restaurant by highlighting great food and good people.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Tap Room.
• Assist fellow team members in the performance of their responsibilities.
• Arrive in proper uniform, neat and clean, with a positive attitude and ready to work on time.
• Ensure the ability to properly read state-issued identification.
• Act with integrity and honesty, alerting management to any issues that may arise with a guest.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in a similar role.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Valid TIPS Certification or willingness to obtain it.
• A genuine love for hospitality and leadership.
